This cupcakes is made using simple ingredients available in the kitchen. My family and friends love this cupcakes. It can be eaten with or without icing.
I will be using this basic cupcake recipe for various icings, which will be posted time to time.
Here we are using almonds and strawberries. Almonds give a nutty flavour to it. It can be served warm or cold at tea time or any time.
Serving:- 12 -14 cupcakes
100gm self raising flour
100gm Amul Butter (See Note at the bottom)
2 tbsp warm milk
Sliced Almond, candied strawberries, cherries (Opt)
Beat together butter and sugar till light and fluffy
Beat in the eggs and vanilla essence.
Pour one scoop of prepared mixture into the paper cups.Sprinkle almond slice on the top (optional).
Bake at 175 degrees for 10-15 minutes depending on your oven temperature.
To check if cupcake is ready:-
- Insert the tooth pick. If it come out clean, cupcake is ready
- Touch the cupcake, if it springs back it is ready.
Amul butter is brand from India. It has salt in it. It gives a nice taste to the cupcakes.But not to worry if it is not available. Using plain butter + 2 pinch of salt will give the same result.
